Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Review

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a multi-platform video game produced by Ubisoft released on May 18 2010. The game marks a return to the the sands of time series which has made the series famous. the game was developed for PS3, Xbox 360, PC.

The Forgotten Sands returns to the storyline established by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and concluded by Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. The game is set between a 7 year gap between Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. The game revolves around the prince visiting his brother Malik, to learn how to be a leader, but when he gets there his kingdom is under attack. Knowing he is loosing the battle Malik sets out to release King Solomans army. But when the prince visits the Djinn Razia, some chilling secrets are unveiled...

The graphics in this game are flawless, in the cut scenes sometimes you find yourself questioning are there real actors in this cut scene? The complexity of the level designs is extremely well thought out. All the puzzles that are used in the game are very clever and sometimes easy to work out but not to easy. the game uses a not so unique fighting sequences but there are still some exhilarating and exciting fight scenes. The ability to be able to freeze water in mid air is a unique feature to this game and a feature that you use frequently throughout the game. This ability is easy to use and also is incorporated into puzzles. The powers you can unlock via the upgrade system are a bit lacklustre like the ability to have fire follow you when you move for a certain amount of time hardly kills any of the enemy. Although the ice blast power is really cool. The game also doesn't take that long to complete. Which you could see as either a good or bad point, Ill let you decide. the games climax is thrilling and enticing but I wont let you know what happens.

All in all this is a game filled with over simple and not so original fighting sequences, A very strong story and level designs with good background music. Some pretty kick-ass powers. A bloody epic film

  1. I didn't mind the movie but for some odd reason, I am not too intrigued by the game.
